From 2008 to 2012, the following programs were developed and implemented: flora and fauna rescue, environmental management plan and environmental monitoring, reforestation on the right-of-way, shooting ranges and loan of the Mexico-Tuxpan Highway, Ávila Camacho-Tihuatlán section.
Likewise, slope protection activities with grass, development and implementation of Ceratozamia mexicana (Cycada) programs, and environmental monitoring (soil, water, flora, fauna, landscape, erosion and restoration) were carried out.
